A little bit about Carl…

Carl was born in 1953 in Hull, England. At age 3, he moved to Winnipeg, Canada with his family. There he grew up and went to school. He then graduated from the University of Manitoba in 1977. From there, he went to work at the CIBC where he retired in 2008.

Shortly after retiring, Carl decided to take a trek across Hadrian’s Wall in the north of England. His children gave him a journal to write in for his trip. Those writings encouraged Carl to set about writing his first book, A Tramp In England.

When Carl is not writing or tramping about, he can often be found riding his motorcycle, enjoying his new found time with friends and family, and attending St Michael and All Angels parish church, where he is an active member.

Carl lives in Winnipeg Canada.
